TYAE Children's Camp

The children’s camp (KiLa) is one of TYAE’s oldest projects. For over 40 years, TYAE has been organising a one-week camp for children of Tibetan origin during the autumn holidays. The KiLa is a place where Tibetan children can discover their roots and identity in a playful way, build friendships and learn about Tibetan culture.

TYAE Teen Weekend

The Teen Weekend is an extended progamme for young people who have exceeded the age limit for participation in the children’s camp. 14-17-year-old Tibetans come together for a long weekend. The programme consists of workshops on Tibetan culture and Buddhism as well as the political situation in Tibet. The Teen Weekend programme was designed to encourage young people of Tibetan origin to engage more deeply with their identity and build a bridge between the Teens and TYAE.

Sport Events

The TYAE sport tournaments are a meeting place where young Tibetans can not only measure their sporting performance but also meet and get to know each other. The association and our sections regularly organise sports events such as the Trunkar Football tournament or numerous basketball, volleyball and badminton tournaments.

Benefit Parties

In addition to political and cultural activities, TYAE is also notorious for its legendary charity parties. Every Year, we organize two events in our party series “Benefit4Tibet” at the Kanzlei and “FriTYAE” at Labor5. The procees from these events are major source of income for TYAE and help us to finance our activities for the Tibetan Freedom Movement.
